The target audience of the school is advanced undergraduate (BSc) and graduate (MSc & PhD) students, post-doctoral researchers, and academic and industrial researchers and developers. The school will be open to about 70 qualified, motivated and pre-selected candidates.
Participants will be selected according to the order of application, the quality of the submitted request and the institution of provenance to ensure a balanced group of people. Graduate students will have to send a copy of their student card at registration time once they have been accepted to the school.
The school fee is 600 Euros. The fee includes all courses, hand-out material, coffee/tea breaks, social events and room/board.
The EDBT Association will provide a limited number of grants covering school fee and accommodation. Those interested in such a grant must give arguments in their motivation letter. Grants will be awarded based upon the background and the scientific performance of the applicants. The economic development level of applicant institutions will also be considered.
Interested participants can apply by providing, as a single PDF file, a CV and a one-page description of their research and motivation at the application site (hosted by Easychair). Note that the (extended) deadline for applications is June 10, 2019.
To upload your application on the application site, create (or log in to) an EasyChair account and click “new submission”. Enter your contact details, put your name under the “title” field, and provide 3 keywords summarizing your research under “keywords”. Finally, attach your PDF file and submit.
